Cable car up Yellow Mountain

We arrived at the entrance to the Yellow Mountain park in the afternoon of a cloudy day. There was no queue. We presented our (digital) tickets and ID. We presented more tickets and ID again to get on a shuttle bus. The shuttle bus (30m) took us to the bottom of the Yungu Cableway. Mom, Dad, Siqi, and I got a gondola to ourselves. We soon found ourselves not just among mountains, but inside a raincloud. Still, even though visibility wasn’t the best, the scenery was amazing! See below for 13 photos of our cable car journey up Yellow Mountain.

To the cable car

Even before we went up in the cable car, the scenery was already amazing.
We spotted a drone, presumably on its way to deliver something to one of the hotels in the scenic area.
Cable car.
Cable car. (Siqi’s photo.)

In the cable car

That’s the station where we boarded! (Siqi’s photo.)
THIS is what we came to see!
Mountains, trees, clouds, and even some blue sky!
I love seeing *layers* of mountains and clouds.
Looking forward to being up here the rest of the day.
As tends to be the case with cable cars, I have *no* idea how they managed to build this.

Into the raincloud

Hm. I like fog, but, like, not right here right now.
…and now it’s raining.
Welp, I guess we’re hiking in the rain then. Good thing we bought ourselves some plastic rain jackets before we came into the park.
