Liyang Old Street, Huangshan City

The driver we hired picked us up in a van at the park exit and took us back to the neighborhood of our hotel in Huangshan City, a vibrant retail area called Liyang Old Street. We went back to the hotel for a rest, then went out again later for dinner. See below for a handful of photos, including another of our hotel’s cats!

Dark grey pathways are made of stone, as shown below, and not accessible for cars. Interestingly, the “You Are Here” text is “Your Place”, an unusual translation.
I wonder how long these stones have been here?
Meow! (This cat belongs to our hotel. But he’s gone to visit the pond in front of some other hotel.)
I mean, it’s a nice pond. And there are fish in it! I wonder if he’s ever caught one.
If it was a church, it isn’t now.
